I definitely have felt that FFXIV lacks that hook that FFXI had and to be honest, I think a lot of that hook FFXI had are a lot of the things people hate about it. The combat in general was more boring in FFXI but much more challenging. Personally, I really enjoyed the true support class, Bard, and miss not having a

FFXI was probably the most rewarding MMO I have ever played.

Whoever made that, is talented.

This gif is incredible

In honor of Destiny, it has no story.

This is the only game I’ve never used fast travel. So damn beautiful!

Jose Gonzalez is your new favorite music artist. You just don’t know it yet...

Buy yourself a bottle of whiskey and a big glass shot-glass, and keep them on the table in front of you while you play. Cowboy hat is optional.

Echoing this point. Although you can fast travel many times I had great experiences just riding the horse from town to town. Not only do you get some amazing scenery (and beautiful sky), but often times you’d run into some small side story or diversion.

My Dad watched me play for part of it and he said the game felt like watching an actual old timey Western. He credited the music as a big part of that.

Holy exploding inbox! Amazing amount of support, thanks everyone!

Have fun!!

If your going into multiplayer and don’t want to be briefed while just having fun with a few friends, be sure to set free roam to friendly.

Play with the sound system up or with headphones on. The ambient noise and brief sections with music are amazing. Still the best thunderstorms I’ve ever heard in a videogame, maybe even in cinema too.

After the “point of no return” I was like YES!here we go. Nope, wrong, continue playing lol.

I can’t agree more with this. By the time I got to the isles it felt like I was in end game mode, but nope!

If anything, White Orchard gives you a skewed look at the game whole. It only has a few meaningful quests and a whole lot of fairly generic encounters. After 100% completing the area I was actually a bit worried that The Witcher had caught the Dragon Age: Inquisition disease of quantity over quality, but when I got to

What until you get to Skelliga and the “Holy crap... there is more” feeling seeps in.

Congrats on completeing about 2% of the game!
