The vast majority if the noise being generated by an airplane flying by isn’t from the engine. It is from the propeller itself. Electric planes aren’t going to sound much quieter.

I’m not sure how much an electric plane is going to solve your noise issue with the light aircraft.  Yeah the engines make noise, but a significant amount of it is also the propeller beating the air.  Electrification wouldn’t solve that.

And how about drivers look up from their cell phones long enough to notice that there are pedestrians in marked crosswalks that they have a legal obligation to stop for?
