Don’t forget that Ben Simmons ‘led’ his team to the NIT even though the SEC is trash.
Woah, what?
The issue with D’Angelo is that he’s highly replaceable, especially in a draft that’s deep at PG/SG.
At least those 5 took you to a WS and had some years of productivity.
Really, tell me which corporation or person would spend the billions of dollars needed to create the needed infrastructure in place for transportation across the United States in terms of roads and highways?
And pray tell me how you can simultaneously fight for social rights while also maintaining a small government?
I do think Fultz is not given enough scrutiny for ‘not carrying his team’, but it seems this is an attribute scouts care less and less about (Ben Simmons went #1 overall and LSU did jack-shit that year).
Except next year’s draft is projected to be heavy on big men while this draft is heavy on PGs.
But everyone was pointing out holes in Okafor’s game when he was at Duke.
That’s a nice sentiment in 2014, 7 years after the fact. I’m sure they were very high on KD, but it’s very easy to say ‘I would’ve drafted player X instead of player Y’ 7 years after the draft, with KD being an All-World player and Ogden stuck in injury hell.
Except Markelle isn’t considered a defensive liability, mostly just a passable defender, which is more than I can say about Isaiah.
The closest is that Fultz was the best in the nation at scoring and distributing through the pick-and-roll.
While I agree, how many super athletic PGs do you know who developed their shot in conjunction with their athleticism?
While I get the questions about Markelle (previously, players were dinged for not taking their team to the NCAA Championship, nevermind the NIT, up until Ben Simmons), and there’s a good chance he could become a better-defending Kyrie (good scoring and shooting numbers, teams win maybe 20% of the time if he’s the only…
Basketball is a little different than the NFL, especially because the players who would be drafted closest to Fultz (Ball, Jackson, Fox) all play the exact same position, so in this case, why would you trade down to pick a PG when you could get the best one in this draft?
It’s more...why would you pass on Fultz?
Kyrie’s so good he carries his teams to wins 20% of the time.
And on pace to lose 100 games.
I see the Sony shill is so distraught at being called out that s/he resorts to banal insults that consist nothing more of repeating what the previous person said.
