They had explored crossplay with PC (Shadowrun in 2007), unfortunately, as they discovered, KMB players completely dominated gamepad players.
I don’t think this more convinces people to buy a PS4 (if you haven’t bought one already even though your friends own it, I highly doubt Rocket League is going to convince you otherwise) but to buy the PS4 version of the game over the Xbox One version, assuming you own both consoles.
