Exactly, even Jon points it out during their ridiculous parlay: who's gonna fight for a devious coward who won't fight for his own soldiers? Everybody, it turns out.

That. Was… Something.
Varys has never made it a secret that he serves THE REALM, not Dany (in contrast with Littlefinger serving his own "climb up the ladder" of chaos). Dany just so happens to be (right now) the best chance that the realm has.
Exactly. Hence why I think Gotham needs to get their s**t together. Too many good comic book shows to choose from during an already crowded week.
Scoreboard reads: SHIELD 2 - Gotham 0
Great visuals (that scene with Bruce screaming next to his parents in the shape of a bat gave me the chills), but the acting was horrendous, the pacing of the dialogue and the directing was even worse. Oddly enough the only characters worth any time on the screen did not get that much time on the screen… in particular…
Indeed, I bought every U2 album, single and import for decades up until NLOTH. First album that I chose to not waste my money on. It was *that* awful. However, this new album offers more than a few glimpses of hope.
Meh, I thought the grading had been spot on throughout the whole season (particularly the previous two, with D+ and A-), but A- seems way too generous here.Yes, there were great moments, but sandwiched by a lot of pointless nonsense. The whole plot to capture Eichorst and its execution (as in, most of the episode)…
Robert Englund would make a great head honcho of the VHS, maybe we reveal in a few episodes that the head honcho and the Master are brothers, and have been warring for millennia. Wait, that sounds a little bit like Underworld. Forget it, I just ruined this great premise.
Eh, could have been any of the Freys. The effect would have been largely the same. That's going to be a powerful scene no matter when they show it. Would have LOVED to see the reaction in non-bookreaders on this, because it's really out of the left field.
Agreed, of all the things I was looking forward, it all felt too mechanic, like going through the motions with little to no explanation. This is a powerful scene in the books, and it did feel very deflated (I wonder how non-readers saw it).
Don't know, I'm still in the camp of the episode being an A, but solid believer that a 3-minute scene with Lady Stoneheart would have moved it to A+++
Happy Father's Day Tywin!
Oh yeah…. remember that guy Kevan? Will Ian Gleder still be playing him or will it be someone else since it's been so long?
I agree, I think this is all of Sansa's own personal journey. She's tired of being a prisoner as she has been for most of 4 seasons, and she has learned from all of them, every interaction, every lesson from people like the Hound ("I'm a bird, repeating what they taught me").
Exactly!
I think that the decision making for the Hound is not over, we still have to see what drives them away from the Bloody Gate in the next episode(s). It just ends abruptly with Arya's priceless reaction.
This show just makes me sad… I think there's no way around this when the hero of the story spends most of the episode watching a "Loading" bar on a computer in a show that is supposed to be about time sensitive situations.
I think it was definitely *treated* as filler, with an important part of that revelation happening a couple of episodes ago, and not being allowed to happen towards the very end of the season. Granted, it's a powerful and important scene, and of course, shocking enough to serve as episode closer. And still, it was not…
I was sad to miss this in the original meeting, because I thought that was one of those scenes that was a battle of wits, and our first intro to Oberyn.
