I feel your pain man, I have the same visibility issues myself though I don’t hate SUVs. I actually really like my wife’s SUV and many times prefer to take her car rather than mine. The height is one of the reasons, the other is that it’s incredibly comfortable.

Except that they aren’t. An SUV/Crossover is still a car/vehicle.
