Growing up my mom put almond oil on our hair, or (branded) Amla oil which is a very popular Indian brand (http://www.amazon.com/Dabur-Amla-Hai…) ... She may have even used mustard oil on us in a pinch but that smelled not so great.. Amla oil smells great to me!

i think about this too, having my poor eyesight in another era must have meant i’d have died by now! i konw they had eyeglasses to some extent even in the 1300s but i must imagine they were for men and/or for the aristocracy and clergy... not regular women.

YES! I think this is the real answer. Venues, photogs, florists, cake bakers... no one gave me quotes on the phone, i had to go in and “see some options” — yes it helps them know what you want so they can give you an accurate price, but it ALSO helps them upsell you on so much.

yeah that’s not cool of the coordinator! her literal job is to guide you through a process that you’ve not been through and she’s been through multiple times. sorry :( you should have a frank talk with her about needing clear and complete information from her.

haha i did the same! shared google spreadsheet with estimated and actual costs, running a tally as we went along in the planning process. I actually am SUPER proud of the fact that our actuals were only 65% of my estimate (which was liberal but not outlandish)! and before you ask, yes I am project manager in my day…

i recently met a woman who i have come to describe as one of those people who get more upset about animal rights injuries than HUMAN rights violations and abuses and oppressions. i like to describe her as that because it really sums up her whole “i’m so enlightened” holier-than-thou attitude that is actually white…
