I'm not vegetarian, but cook a lot of meat free meals. I love eatingwell.com!
Can I ask what made you give it up? And how are you going about it?
No one wants to live with a roommate and brown bag all their lunches in their late 20's. But I figure better now than in my 30's, right? I was about 26 when I took the first pay cut. I've actually been working a second job for the past 6 or 7 months just so my savings account would stay out of the negatives. I've…
I've been feeling semi-sick for about a solid week. Scratchy throat, sort of stuffy nose, sinus headache that comes and goes. Decided to skip dinner with boyfriend and boyfriend's dad to stay home in my purple sheep jammies, hang out with my cat and rest this out of my system. Hoping some nyquill and some sleeping…
Treat yourself to a pedicure at a nice spa. Splurge for a hydrating treatment, like a mud mask or parafin dip. It will likely run you anywhere from $40 - $60, but you'll see a huge difference after. Just be sure to maintain the results with regular moisturizing with a heavy cream.
I worked for a large international company for about 3 years, where I learned a ton, got some awesome experience and found the career I wanted to pursue. When I felt that I had sort of out grown my role and was looking to grow, the company didn't have any jobs in my area that had what I was looking for. I ended up…
You get a star for your correct cutting technique.
I make soup from whatever leftovers I have on hand from the week. Veggies I haven't used yet, cooked pasta or rice, left over meat. Anything you have, just toss it in a pot with some stock and let it simmer. If my contents is a little light, I might add a can of beans.
I really only watched this show for her fabulous red hair.
I'm going as Ariel too! I've already got the red hair. I'm rocking a purple corset top and a green knee-length pencil skirt. Just ordered a plush Flounder from Amazon that I'm intending to fashion into a purse.
I didn't know JK had a pseudonym! Thanks!
This is genius. I'm going to buy gold stars tomorrow.
But when adults are chit chatting you can stop your presentation, look at them, smile and sweetly ask "I'm sorry, was there a question over here?". Embarrasses the crap out of them every single time.
I'm looking for book recommendations. Something with a really great, addictive plot. I went through an awful break up a couple months ago and I'm still doing kind of terrible — so preferably something happy and uplifting.
I think the key is to have friends who enjoy cooking. I've done potlucks before and they have gotten incredibly over the top because everyone wanted to outdo the others.
I listen to podcasts when I work out.
I know of some companies that hire former teachers to do corporate training. You have the skill set — presentation skills, ability to plan lessons/curriculum, etc. But you would be dealing with adults rather than kids and no homework to grade! It's also the kind of job that could involve some very cool travel, if…
Currently making my way through a box of pinot and watching Gilmore Girls all by myself and loving every second of it.
