Ronan’s not the most interesting dude in the universe, but I do appreciate his fairly clear and straight-forward character and motivation. He’s a fanatic, he hates Xandar, he thinks their people are weak and degenerate and he wants to kill them all. Not exactly grade-A quality backstory, but it mostly works.
It’s not the weakest entry in the MCU - that will always be The Incredible Hulk - but it’s certainly runner-up. Ditto for weakest villain - Malekith makes Ronin the Accuser look positively dynamic in comparison. (Actually, I kind of enjoy Ronin, to be honest)

I really liked the climactic action scene with the teleporter dumping characters all across different worlds and dimensions. It’s still one of the only MCU movies with a final fight scene more interesting than “the good guy and bad guy hit each other really hard while stuff explodes around them.”
