The ability to amend the constitution is a really great point - it is good for everyone to remember (not that we HAVE to repeal 2nd Amendment to enact some common-sense gun safety laws; but it is still a good to remember that laws can be changes in lots of ways).
I know nothing about ties or types of collars, but I love your persnickety pedantry. We are here for you.
Hey man, don’t insult cuttlefish like that. Marco Rubio is NOTHING like cuttlefish! Cuttlefish are the most amazing creatures - do not bring them into this mess.
There are many parallels to Watergate - and usually we make those comparisons to Watergate as a way of communicating how serious or outrageous the current situation is.
I did that a couple years ago. That is a real bummer.
Oh, there is one at every party, isn’t there? :-) It’s almost cute that he thinks he knows more about Watergate than anyone else.
People keep making comparisons to Watergate; but compared to what we seem to be looking at here - possible collusion with Russia, a plethora of financial crimes, obstruction of justice, undermining the framework of American law enforcement - a little breaking and entering seems quaint.
For real. If he is suing her for breach of a non-disclosure agreement, he can’t claim that he did not enter into a NDA with her (or intend to, since he didn’t sign it).
Soon Yi’s brother and sister were Woody Allen’s children. We shouldn’t have to explain to people how creepy this is, and yet it seems we do.
It would appear that it is supposed to be satire - but honestly, it is too close to many non-satirical columns to be able to tell. I did not realize it was supposed to be satire until someone pointed out the fake mustache in the profile pic.
That wedding photo is VERY creepy. Like, a disturbing cross between “House of Yes” and the “Moonies” wedding.
As much as we all hate T*&^p - imagine growing up with him as your father! No amount of money would be worth that. Poor kid.
If the punishment was related to the walkout being in support of gun restriction (that is, different from what students would normally get for walking out of class/ school) then that is a 1st Amendment issue. https://www.vox.com/2018/3/13/17110210/national-school-walkout-free-speech-guns
Rex was shady as hell, but I do think he is competent - just his goals were to advance the oil industry instead of the advancing the interests of the American people.
Yes, this exactly. Destroying education isn’t an accidental byproduct of incompetence - rather, it is the whole goal.
“School choice” is code for “segregation” ( in the 1950s, they called plans to dodge integration “parent choice” plans).
I have gotten to the point that I think we have to assume that they intend to do the things that they are doing. It is not that they don’t understand the education system- they DO understand, and they want to destroy it. The oligarchs that support T*&^$# WANT to America to have a “class” system with them at the…
Looking at the school disciplinary disparities, combined with the overwhelming evidence of racial bias in unjustified killing of unarmed citizens by law enforcement - we all know that having armed teachers and more armed “security” will make schools unsafe for black and brown students.
Everyone in their right mind knows the women around T*&^p are racist and anti-semites, so it is not a surprise when they act like what they are. For several older Jewish women I know, the Women’s March really meant a lot to them personally - it was what connected them to this new generation of activists, so they feel…
