I watch this every October and have since it first came out. My family quotes at least one Jeffrey Combs line from The Frighteners every week. In short, it’s one of those films that makes up the fabric of my life. And, like you, I pretty much thought I was the only one.

That was Del Toro, not Tarantino.

I’m still disappointed that he did name the movie “Prometheuses.”

Actually, there are current groups of Norse pagans who actively worship Odin, Thor, et al.

I’m from Montana, and I can’t count how many films depict us as having Southern accents. I guess it’s the cowboy image, but this isn’t Texas. Most people can’t even detect a Montana accent. I know I can’t.

Actually, this is the one Universal monster remake I’m most looking forward to. I don’t even care if it’s bad. Hell, I’ve rewatched Van Helsing more times than I care to admit. More Universal Monsters is better than No More Universal Monsters any day of the week.

My, what great taste in horror movies you have! The only one on your list I didn’t like was at #1, but I really need to rewatch it and see what I missed.

Thank you thank you thank you for listing Black Sunday’s Asa Vajda. Definitely my favorite Bava flick. Maybe I’m alone in this, but I’d have added Margaret Morgan (Meg Foster) from Lords of Salem. Not a perfect movie, but she’s creepy as hell and the film features a black mass scene second only to Haxan.

Amen to that. Modern MTG features some amazing artwork, but 9 times out of 10, you can’t tell what the subject of the painting is.

My first thought as well.

Maybe Luke had to go into exile or risk letting his grief and anger turn him to the dark side as well. I don’t know about you, but if someone murdered all of my students, I’d damn sure be consumed with an all-encompassing lust for revenge. If that’s the case, taking some alone time to restore your internal balance is

Bet they couldn’t taste the difference in a blind taste test. Most wine experts couldn’t accurately tell the difference between white and red wine. http://io9.com/wine-tasting-i…

This is the opposite of evil. Whaddaya mean no retaliation? Good advice? Yes. Evil advice? Hells no.

Especially the Chipotle flavor, yeah?

The True Meaning of Smekday by Adam Rex narrated by Bonnie Turpin. Bonnie Turpin’s performance is THE reason to seek this out on audio. But then you’re missing out on Adam Rex’s illustrations. Guess you’ll have to get both.
