You’d think that the same team that acquired a buttload of picks for the #2 pick (RGIII) a few years ago would know better than to make this move.

Good analogy and even more impressive when you realize it’s slightly more than an 80% increase not 60%.
I don’t think they will, but if Vegas gave me 10-1 odds they would win 73 again, I’m throwing down $20. It just shouldn’t be that fathomable.
I was somewhat blown away by the Ws game...and when I read deadspin’s post on Kobe’s game, I literally thought they were kidding. Pretty cool and I’m a big cynic about kobe. Sure he took 50 shots but then again why the hell not?
Nothing about this felt like luck (other than good fortune with injuries). They are that much better than everyone. Their core is young. Their 9th guy could start for other teams. They can do this again next year.
Don’t forget that the win was for the Western Conference worst Lakers. Their 17 of the year.
He was better than Pau. I hate him but that's too much.
You just made me laugh so hard I farted.
As long as we can also agree that he didn’t have the highest WAR last season, at all, by any stretch of accounting or imagination. He did lead the league in Bret The Hitman Hart impressions though, and I feel like that should factor in.
idk if trolling or not but hes doing far better by any metric except nba success now that hes not in the nba than any year he was still in the league. his shoe line has re launched hes basically the ruler of china and hes no longer crazy
I honestly think Pippen and Rodman combined to be better than just what Shaq could’ve been for them since they obviously couldn’t have had all of them. Think about it. Those 3 guys are likely the best defensive players to ever play their position, 1 of which was also the GOAT. They just SMOTHERED teams.
This makes zero sense. League leaders in WAR the last three years: Bryce Harper (2015), Mike Trout (2014), and Mike Trout (2014). Yeah, those sound like the best players in the MLB.
It’s almost like people who are kneejerk anti-advanced stats aren’t that interested in truth.
If Jordan had prime shaq, like Kobe did, the Bulls would be on something like 23 straight championships.
Absolutely no disagreement. I value Horry’s seven rings, but I can come up with a long list of elite players who have won a combined seven fewer championships who I’d rather have at championship time...and I could do so with very little effort expended.
Ah yes, that’s Kobe, always sacrificing individual success for the good of the team.
Ah, cool, now post a photo of Robert Horry smiling with the larger number of championship trophies he’s won.
The second part of this statement is correct, but I’m not sure how it suggests the recommended course of action in the first part.
Stevie franchise is a big ugly doubt-poop in your contrarian kiddie pool
I sometimes forget how good Grant Hill was. Would have been cool to see him at his peak with Mcgrady in Orlando. I do question any stat that calls Steve Francis the best player in the league, but his numbers that year were pretty damn good.
