Here’s a workaround that could satisfy most, and perhaps make it easiest for VW to move on.

Then knowing this, why would you cancel your lease? I get why owners should get a little something back, but lessees? No.
Why would you want to cancel? There are penalties for getting out of any lease and generally it isn’t a good financial move.
Maybe I’m missing something. Why would people leasing get compensation?
Again, not sure science is on your side here. https://www.gsb.stanford.edu/insights/its-a…
Your spin game is weak. Oil is a finite resource. Just how long do you think we can continue to consume petroleum? So far, you have brought nothing to the table other than your opinion. Feel free to cross-check your opinion with fact and science. You’ll find yourself in a state of waning optimism once you understand…
If you need assistance on learning more about oil, Google is a good first stop.
Would be nice to see these cars under something other than midday sun light.
If that’s how you belabor conversations without adding any substance or value, you do a great job. Give yourself a pat on the back!
Ah, point taken. To counter the point in a different way, the 124 is not a North American market car only, correct? While gas may be “cheap” as you call it. That isn’t really the case in other parts of the world. Even in California, you’re lucky to get $2.50 Regular. “Cheap” gas is temporary.
The small car argument doesn’t hold as much water when you’re talking sports cars. Yes, someone may opt for a RAV4 over a Corolla for the moment, but if you want a Miata, there aren’t any comparable equivalents in a larger car. You don’t buy a Miata to save money on fuel, you buy it because you don’t mind driving a…
There are so many things wrong with that design. It looks like it was accessorized with flea market finds and contact paper. Nothing proper about it. Nothing Texas about it.
Do you always answer questions with questions?
Completely unnecessary use of force.
What will it take to get BMW drivers to come around?
Out of curiosity, how many people do you suck into this vortex? Perhaps you debate people on the merits of global warming too? Are you on the “Make America Great Again” bandwagon?
So you’re not down with science? That is your perogative. It is not worth arguing on the facts of finite oil supply. Laws of economics says we won’t “run out” of oil. Are you truly arguing that petroleum is a renewable resource that will replenish itself at a rate equal to or greater than our current and future…
Thanks, Mr. Vague!
Now I truly question your taste if you lump any current Lexus in with a Juke or Cherokee. Yes, the Lexus design ethos is strong, but it is tasteful and balanced. Lexus headlights and taillights are in their generally accepted locations.
I think it could be argued that there is some objectivity to good design. There are some vehicles on the road that are so traditionally unattractive that you’re fooled into thinking that they look good. How else would a Juke, a current Cherokee or a current Prius ever be sold?
