If you want to talk about forgotten, you know what movie came out a few months before that and made even more money? Crocodile Dundee.

I get why most of the movies on this list are forgotten. But “Con Air” is one of those movies I personally find very rewatchable... I guess it’s a guilty pleasure, but it also seems pretty ubiquitous on streaming platforms and cable TV and seems to have become part of the pop culture zeitgeist.

They play this version on Sirius/XM channel 21, Little Steven’s Underground Garage a lot.  In fact, they play a lot of original versions from this list.  

Ted bursting into tears talking about how he felt afraid to be close to his son sure pulled a whole bunch of tears out of me over here.  That entire exchange with his mom was superb.

I remember REM getting shit for the use of that song in a tech commercial since they famously don’t license their music for anything, and basically responding “fuck you, it’s not our song!”

The line to get into my local TJ was way too long during the pandemic.
