I do have to say, I don’t think I’ve seen this much sparking during crashes. Me thinks they may be using drag blocks for more spectacular, spark-filled crashes. This needs further investigation.

Windows down should keep the stoichiometric ratio lean enough to prevent ignition.
My borther-in-law has had a qv for the same amount of time. 14k miles, trouble free. And he drives it in race mode all the time.

That’s not horrible advice, considering the best used auto rates right now are 3.1%. If you’re good at it, you may be able to offset those interest losses with some sort of investing. My rule is I just don’t buy anything over $20k. I’m perfectly happy driving higher mileage, older vehicles, and I understand that lots…
Many times they can give you a better price if you do finance with them. If it’s a good enough cut, it may be worth the hassle to do it and then pay off the note right away. Just make sure there’s no early payoff penalties.
I thought the dog “ears” term was because the profile of each tooth of the gear was dog eared, like a book page, to bring into contact a thicker part of the tooth and to avoid breaking off the tip of the corner, when they were jammed together.
