Everything about this story is terrible.

He’s not the hero we want, but the hero we need.

I mean, it’s not like that’s all he was doing. It was probably a few hours of effort over a period of a year. Totally worth it.

The crazy part is that all he has to do is say “I messed up. And I’m sorry.” Don’t say “and I’m done talking about it.” You don’t get to decide when this conversation has gone on long enough, my man. If somebody wants to talk about it, you nod your head, agree that you fucked up, and say you’re sorry.

He obviously thinks that the joke wasn’t a problem. There’s no sincerity to his apologies, no sign of understanding the problem. Truly penitent people aren’t upset at having to apologize. Truly pentimento people realize that they caused harm to someone and regret that harm. This is a child being told to apologize…

He’s gaslighting audiences to think homophobia isn’t homophobia. I’ve seen a lot of comments on here trivializing it, but it’s right there in the pot with every other strain of bigotry and it still matters, damn it.

The most suitable punishment for R Kelly is castration. As far as I’m concerned nothing else would be fitting.

It’s funny we all knew about aaliyah but nobody was outraged . Even beforethis miniseries nobody was outraged. You watch a movie and all of sudden it’s all true and everyone calling for his head.
