Oh, sure, it was probably SOP, certainly, and Phillip recognized that. But an SOP that was probably a holdover from when Paige & Henry were still in the house (and out of the loop). I mean, for it to be a risk, it would take Stan coming over and rooting through their fridge and opening up a random tupperware and

I think it is all tied to Elizabeth being overcautious/overreacting.  Like throwing away a tupperware of Russian stew because keeping it in the fridge for a day is too much of a risk.

Oh, no, that is NOT DONE.

In a way, Lena spelled it out in this episode: she recognizes and respects that people have their secrets, that it’s necessary.  She gets that it’s not an insult not to be told right away.

If the goal is to be reductive, it’s remarkably easy to knock down any episode. “It’s total filler! Nothing happens! The crew stands around the bridge while Picard takes a nap and has a dream!”

I remember reading a thing where a conservative tried to claim Star Trek as “theirs” in that they watched the original series and dreamed of things like how the doors worked, and then the hippies had to ruin what it was about with their frou-frou.

I think it’s less that people want to be told what to do, and more that a lot of people are dissatisfied and are willing to try anything that might be a quick fix to the happiness they see in other people. They might believe that belonging to SOMETHING, no matter what it is, could be a path to that. So someone can get

See, I think that “Killer Frost is a separate personality” is the secret weapon here. Devoe took Killer Frost from Caitlin, so where is KF right now? Can she take control of the body? Will he accidentally put her into The Engineer?  Will she be a sleeper agent in the Thinker’s lair?

THEORY: Devoe screws up and melting-points Killer Frost into The Engineer.  KF as the Engineer is able to resist the Love Tears (because of her cold heart) and helps Team Flash beat him.

Maybe she’s busy leaving footprints on someone’s brain.

Well, I think it’s a key distinction to separate the craving for brains (necessary to maintain basic sanity) and craving for spicy foods (anything less than this doesn’t trigger the taste buds).

Anecdotal, but I have a friend with celiac who was all, “Thank god for all those trendy fakers, because it’s so much easier for me to eat in restaurants now.”

Zombies don’t actually crave hot foods.  It’s that thing have no flavor to them without it being ultra spicy.

Dark Matter is actually the rare show that finds a great balance of “episodic storytelling” and “arc narrative”. Like, every episode has a clear, definitive plot: this is the mission, this is what we want to accomplish, culminating in some degree of completion of said accomplishment. BUT at the same time the needle is

I feel like the DES letter is a joke reference to something fictional, but I don’t have the frame of reference to understand it.  Like, if you had read the book, you’d be all, “Oh, man, yes.  That’s funny.”  But who’s read it?  No one, that’s who.

Really, Agents of Shield S4 was broken into three story arcs, which they branded: Ghost Rider, LMD and Agents of Hydra. The arcs had a progression of A to B to C, but it was a good model that kept things from being stretched out or spinning their wheels. (i.e., the “until we figure out what Devoe is planning, we have

Earth-X Jay & Silent Bob are Nazi Hunters.  With an Orangutan.

I am proud to say that I have not yet seen, nor will I ever see, Titanic.

You’re right, Black Panther is merely the 34th highest grossing movie of all time when adjusted for inflation.  It’s like it’s barely a success at all!

Things were so out of character for Diggle, to the point that Diggle himself said, “This is out of character for me.” that I expected them to realize someone had done some sort of feedback hack on his chip or something.
