Never heard of them before but all their songs sound like the buttrock tracks they play during motorcycle chases on Sons of Anarchy, which I thought were just generic free license songs Kurt Sutter got from MP3.com to save on production costs.

You're not missing much. The prevailing theory is he stepped out of a time machine from 1992 when his jokes might have been offensive to a church group in Iowa, and has yet to acclimate to our modern sensibilities.
