It’s not mental gymnastics. Pitching to contact that will make an out is a solid strategy rather than throw all over and trying to make the batters swing at air.

Very conflicted, because he does make a bit of a point. Pythagorean theorem is an interesting prediction method and can show that some teams may actually be better than they appear considering point differentials, but at the end of the day, a win is a win and a loss a loss.
