The front (3/4) reminds me of the Mazda 6, while the rear reminds me of the Impala.

Here's the kicker, the lens weren't smoked! Only the chrome surrounds here (but not the actual chrome reflectors that aid in projecting light). So they're just as bright as the regular bright-chrome units on all NB2 cars except the black added that extra touch of aggressiveness.
