It’s absolutely for spectator safety. I was on the mountain this year and you couldn’t hear anything (except for the siren) before these electric monsters came around the bend.
Today I learned a new piece of Miata minutiae.
Tailor? Yes, alterations are generally inexpensive. Cobbler? Certainly not.
...but anything under eight seconds is a fantastic time for a FWD car...
Well this is exciting.
Yo dawg heard you like memes so we put a meme under your meme so you can meme while you meme.
BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP
Yeah, that’s not really how stadium names work.
SUVs should DEFINITELY avoid potholes. Every time an SUV hits a pothole, that pothole gets WORSE. Believe me, I have seen potholes on my daily commute get worse and worse week after week, which means I’m darting around them in my slightly lowered Miata hoping not to break anything.

So, uh, not much?
My suspension issues? It's a 25 year-old car. I replaced the front struts when I bought the car because they were blown. It happened to also need a strut mount. That's the extent of the car's "suspension issues".
The NB will eventually become an Exocet. With more power.
Yep! I have a BP with VVT on my NB2 Miata, too. Best of both aspiration worlds!
Fun fact: The original Miata engine is actually a naturally aspirated version of the 323 GTX's engine.
Yep, I bought mine for $3,500 last year and it needed tires, front struts, a strut mount, and a new ignition switch. Finding a good GTX for less than $3,000 is highly unlikely.
I own one of these cars. I would not call 323 GTXs "beaters". 1,243 were imported into the US in 1988 and 1989. Many were used as actual rally cars and subsequently totaled, so there are a good number less than the original 1,243 still on the roads. Parts are very hard to come by. I bought the last ignition switch…
