I agree. The "Why don't you like this?"-feature hasn't been used in ages, but it would imho make sense to reactivate it and have Dowd explain why he never got into Miyazaki. I think that would give quite some insight into the way he sees movies.
Well, he did say that Corey Stoll is "Best known for imitating Hemingway in Midnight in Paris". Does that count as a dig?
I don't hate people for not knowing anything about IT, but it still annoys me when people who work every day with a computer refuse to learn the most basic things - stuff like changing the resolution really isn't rocket science.
I love it when users tell me "I don't want to learn anything about my computer, i just want that it works!" I'm always tempted to answer with something among the lines of "Would you drive a car without having a licence and then tell the cops 'I don't see why i should get a license, I just want my car to move…
Bad idea - it could lead to the revelation that he's actually Pumaman.
I see nothing wrong with that.

I started playing Dark Souls, which is great but hard as hell - the second boss killed me almost ten times before i finally managed to take him down. But yeah, it's very satisfying to make progress.
"Good news everyone! Futurama is canceled!
…wait, that's not good news at all!"

TV is probably where i have the biggest pop-culture-deficits. I still haven't watched the last season of The Wire, and haven't seen The Sopranos, Buffy, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Friday Night Lights or pretty much anything else from the Golden Age (or before). And DVD-Boxes aren't that expensive, so i really should put…
Rowan makes a good point about digital distribution - it's almost too easy to build a big collection of games nowadays. Either there's a Steam Sale, or a Humble Bundle or GOG has some special offer etc. And i always find it hard to get back into a game after having abandoned it for some time because i got something…
I have to admit, i never even heard of Miles from Home. Is it worth watching?
Susperia is probably a good candidate for a remake - it has a cult following for a reason, but it's not exactly flawless, so a remake might actually improve it.
Smilla's Sense of Snow is the only one of his movies i've ever seen. I remember liking it quite a bit, but it's been over 10 years since i last saw it - nowadays, i'd probably find it rather preposterous.
If Austenland is any indication, filmmaker Jerusha Hess […] cracked […] the author’s books. It’s […] informed by the best of English literature…
The bad thing is that this means League of Extraordinary Gentleman will be his last film, and i'm pretty sure even a Brett Ratner-directed crime movie would've ended his career on a higher note.
They could've at least cooked traditional Pirate cusine, but no…
