I would not call it fake AI, unless the AI is completely scripted, which the AI agents in Dark souls are definitely not. More like really dumb AI, because while they may be able to find their way in the environment, they make for pretty crappy conversational partners.

i don’t think as a reviewer you’re beholden to the publication’s opinion? movie also sucked!

I’m trying to remember this era you’re talking about. I’ve been reading this website for a little over a decade and there’s a lot I miss about how it used to be (Hate Song, more and better reviews of TV episodes including shows that had long since stopped airing, a section I could click on that was just previews of

I think they’ve only done two Trump articles since his indictment, whereas I bet the old A.V. Club would’ve done three times that many.

Those two things took place over two years apart.

There are far more “good games” made by companies that aren’t Nintendo. In fact, the percentage of “good games” that are solely on Nintendo platforms compared to other platforms is probably laughably miniscule in pure quantity. The Nintendo cult can’t chant “but their games are good lol” when they’re being a trashy

...absolutely none of that is true. That’s simply not how the relevant IP laws work. Which you’d know, if you had any idea how the industry works....

I think this is just one of those things like the Sony/Xbox stuff, where people have just stopped asking the really basic questions. Questions like - what constitutes transformative works, the rights of Youtubers in general, and Nintendo’s actual legal basis for its claims.

Hell yeah it’s gone. There is just a bunch of techno savages who were socialized online now.

Disagree

I can’t say I know PointCrow’s intentions, but doing stuff like modding games, bringing exposure, and otherwise engaging in transgression on things like copyright law is part of pushing back against companies. Our relationship with Nintendo/Sony/MS/any company is inherently adversarial. After all, if Nintendo could

Nintendo isn’t a person

Okay! Wow. You’re a psychopath, and I have nothing further to say to you.

... “make money off a Nintendo IP”?

The truly game-changing mods are exclusive to PC because the Switch can barely handle games in their released state, and adding more work on top of that leads to crashes more often than not

There is literally no one Nintendo hates more than it’s fans.

Hell, Nintendo should be *THANKING* him for not only creating a testbed for a multiplayer Zelda concept for free, but for also proving, without any cost to Nintendo, that the concept has enough appeal to be a commercially viable product. This is literally the definition of a win-win scenario. It costs Nintendo nothing

It wouldn’t matter if you did.  If you legally own a copy of BOTW you can play it in CEMU all you want. This has been settled in court.  It’s only a problem if you are using ROMs while not owning a physical copy of the game.

And maybe Nintendo shouldn’t be so litigigous over shit that wasn’t hurting anyone in the first place.
