SNL’s welcome to hell skit got it right. It’s way worse for women of color. The only reason people are taking it seriously now is because it started with reputable, well liked women of power and means.

Are you fucking serious? Congratulations on being the first, but not the last, white woman to miss the entire point.

Black Mirror’s basic premise that each episode be tied to technology (and our over reliance on it, or whatever) really limits the kinds of stories it can tell. Twilight Zone episodes can broach a much larger range of topics, since it isn’t inherently limited by its own premise.

Some of the originals. Having few writers (Rod Serling wrote nearly 2/3 himself) and large seasons meant that the quality wavered greatly, but the amazing episodes are still amazing and the worst ones are forgettable.

The originals hold up just as well today, so as long as it keeps the quality, I say bring it on. Creepy morality plays are the best.

Let’s ask The Intercept, shall we?

Am I the ONLY one who remembers the kerfuffle when Taibbi left First Look Media for inappropriate behaviour involving a female journalist? You don’t shutter a whole, high-budget, high-profile new media startup for minor reasons.
