Interesting piece in the Wash Post today. There is no requirement that the incoming president’s transition team observe any code of ethics. All past incoming presidents have created/followed such a code, but Trump & Co. can do whatever they want till he takes office:

I would imagine a President — any president — could apply pressure to ensure his candidate receives clearance. Short of the guy being an actual spy.

There may be government security clearances he’s required to pass But if the President wants him to pass, he’ll pass.

Vetting, schmetting. The position of chief of staff does not require confirmation. The nominee serves at the discretion of the President.

Not just California and Texas, but all U.S. agriculture and all U.S. restaurants. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce will have an opinion about the latter, and there’s probably a lobby that’ll have an opinion about the former. If not, wait till spring when crops are dying in the fields, and food prices skyrocket.
