Just a decent paint job and new vinyl roof would cost $6,000. Nice price for someone who likes that style of car. Not for me though.

I don’t know who thought this was a good idea. Kids will have a lot of fun just tipping them over. I predict a fail for this type of business.

Getting ready for an unusual summer event; rain. Hurricane Hilary is going to bring some wet weather to the deserts of Southern California. Yay!

Wishful thinking, but how about eliminating the 20th century relic called the check engine light? The computer should be able to warn you exactly what’s wrong, no need to plug in to OBD with a scanner, get the code, look up what it means, and then figure out how to fix it.

Why not Chinese brands? I remember my dad complaining about the cheaply made Japanese cars (who would ever want a Toyota?), later the Koreans came in with their cheap Kia’s and Hyundai’s (?). There aren’t many low-cost cars it the US anymore, the market is waiting.

Morning Shift all in one post, thanks for putting it back the right way.

That interior is just too damn ugly. ND

That’s it on The Morning Shift? Did Owen get lazy, or is the rest to come?

Price, price, price

Somebody beat that car with an ugly stick. No dice, ugly price.

I’m from California, and I still think this plan is just plain stupid. What really needs to be done is to fast track infrastructure improvements so the grid can handle our so-called electric future. No one is even talking about how the poor and working class will ever be able to afford an electric car, let alone have

580,000 pounds? I didn’t know any truck weighed that much!

It’s still the wild west when it comes to EV manufacturers. Many of these new names will get bought out or just go out of business. Lordstown will most likely be one of them.

Ungainly. Ugly. They ruined a perfectly good car. ND.

Tesla is sort of becoming the Model T of EVs. Great technology, but their models are looking kind of dated. I hope to see some new product offerings, not just software updates, from them soon. Still wish them well.

We need dealers so we can see, and test drive a car before we buy it. Also, to fix factory recalls. That’s it. Otherwise, they are easily replaced.

I predict supply of new cars will finally catch up with demand, and we will once again see vehicles available below sticker price.

Tesla stock will drop below $100 when the market starts to value Tesla like any other car company. There’s fundamentally no way Tesla should be valued more than VW, Toyota, GM, Ford, and some others. Soon, every company will have an EV, which will make it just another car company.

Wow. The storm had a name? I guess it’s bad out there. Bad for me too. I had to park in lot 2 here at the beach in L.A. Crowded for sure.

Having come of driving age in the 70's, I can tell you NO DICE AT ANY PRICE. Stay away from any of those mid 70's POS’s.
