The EV tax credit is ludicrous, giving rich people money to buy cars, then exempting them from paying anything to finance transportation (like gas taxes).

Besides the cost and being a homeowner, I just don’t have the solar capacity to charge the car. It would take $30,000 dollars to upgrade the system, or $200,000 to bring grid electrical power to my house.

Toyota is not an anti EV company at this point. It is, and always has been, a profitable automaker which makes reliable cars that people want. You can bet that when EV’s become mainstream Toyota will be a significant player.
