Robin Lord Taylor is way too over the top. Showy acting is not always great acting.

"The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost!" - 97% of the reviews of this record, and uhm, Bateman. Except mine.

Asami is a version of the vengeful female ghost prevalent in a lot of Japanese horror movies during that period. She's presented ethereally at times, wears white (the color of death in Japan), presents herself as meek to the unsuspecting. She's just not going to be that one who accepts her fate and takes her revenge

GOZU is at times impenetrable, and the print I saw failed to translate a few important lines uttered by the cow thing (yes) that at least gives you something to hang onto thematically if that's what you're after. I would say if you're looking for Takashi's Freudian/Cronenberg, this would be it.

Your self-righteousness knows no bounds.

Takashi's Masters of Horror was actually pretty good, Kudoh was surprisingly good. Why would you say it was mediocre if you didn't see it?

Snappy retort,homie

I think Takashi would guffaw at this.

What bollocks. If you saw FUNNY GAMES during the j-horror boom and you simply said "so what" you're doing it wrong. You bring whatever baggage you're carrying to these movies. Because *you* got lost in the fog doesn't mean that's the end point for everyone. Moreover, why lay your absorption of the "abhorrent" at the

It's sort of my point; it's valid for you to make the comparison you did but it's only really valid for you. The OP has a lot of bald arguments that we have to accept to accept her argument. I know I'm kinda acting like I just discovered tautological arguments, lol, just kind of bothered by the piece I guess.

Oh, I get it . . . Ray Donovan is not the Sopranos so that means the show sucks. Genius.

"Something like Prince . . ." you mean the guy considered to be one of the greatest artists of the 80s and 90s?

I thought this was a great show, and I read it as completely tongue-in-cheek, probably owing to Campbell's reputation AND his smirk, it's virtuousness an intentional throwback to be slightly chuckled at rather than dismissed. And Carrey was awesome and I had a crush on Kelly Rutherford.

Seems that they've been going the "special child" direction with Kira the entire season. In one respect, of course she is, because the clones are supposed to be barren. But having her be a magical mutant kid could well have OB follow the worst instincts of the worst SyFy shows.

I find Zach's reservations at the show's dire tone kind of odd. There's nothing to do with slasher movies, most of them had not a consideration of theme in their severed heads.

Rust was redeemed? Rust didn't need redeeming, and if *he* did it wasn't at the cost of raped women. Rust simply came to an understanding about himself. It was a bit trite (basically, "Oh, now I can cry about my daughter instead of drinking a lot!") but redemption wasn't in for him. Maybe Marty needed some redemption,

Yeah, but I think a lot of people put a lot of time into the "mystery" because for better or worse — for worse — there's a lot of TV shows promising these great mysteries for the bored and lifeless to figure out. And those who stumble on the answer get lots of cyber high-fives for being right. The draw of ever

Shorter Seinfeld: "I'M STILL RELEVANT TO ENTERTAINMENT"

It really isn't a "douchebro" sentiment. It's like all those posts about how much people hate soccer during the world cup. Why are soccer fans supposed to care what other sport/non-sports fans think about soccer? I think he's simply asking for indifference.

That's usually what happens during the World Cup. So soccer fans deal with that AND people talking about reading a book.
