Man, you need to watch the shows more closely. Even if they weren't specific, this notion of his actions gaining him notoriety is logical and believable. The concept is a reflection of the modern world and our obsession with celebrities and fame, even if it ends up working in the doctor's favor. Perhaps the writers

OK

The show is very specific about which planets consider the doctor a savior. Moreover, it stands to reason that word would spread and a legend would form when these worlds are in contact with each other. Like most good sci-fi, it accurately reflects on and speaks to our society. NFN, no one knew the doctor when he met

The show used to be about how center-left democratic republic forms of government are the best thing ever. "Humanity" is just a stand-in, like Dreyfuss for Spielberg.

The first paragraph is wrong. The second is wild hyperbole.

Yeah that's the theory, though it isn't necessarily "pro government," nor does it mean we have to dismiss Li (really Yimou took the brunt of criticism among critics) because of it.

Cyclops wasn't an asshole, he was just the foil to the Logan/Jean relationship everyone wanted. That said, I thought it was kinda funny that Marsden, who is a tiny man, was Summers and 6'2" Jackman is Logan. Everything else I agree with.

Funny that his Marxist take on the Disney-fication of the franchise runs in that paper.

Sorry if I remain unimpressed.

Here? Where is "here?" Long acquaintance with White or the person who posted the comment?

No, don't really. Because somehow, "Armond White" has become shorthand for "using race theory to deconstruct Hollywood crap." Also, half the people upvoting never read White, only know that other critics they like thinks he's an asshole.

Well, death wasn't actually reversed. I do give Moffat credit for finding a way to kill her and keep her alive for the rumored spin-off without a magical resurrection.

Felt rushed. I'd like an old school rationing of time; let's have "Heaven Sent" be a 30 minute episode and "Hell Bent" a 90-minute, three-part finale. I wanted to get more of the emotional impact of his return to Gallifrey. I know he didn't really care about them, he was only interested in using them to get to Clara.

But a Nickleback song is more interesting than this show.

"violent" and "vicious" don't mean the same thing exactly. One word is more descriptive and the other connotative. A football game may be more violent than an MMA fight overall, yet a solid kick in the face may seem more vicious.

The fight scenes are more vicious than Daredevil? No . . .

Dear lord, the fandom has to be spoon fed these days. Outside of a few Clara bits, this is clearly a stand alone episode. Must everything be part of a greater whole? Even Mulder took a week off from alien chasing. It's that damned LOST, innit?

This season is better than the last. At least it asks some interesting questions of the viewer. The Walking Dead balks at every opportunity to do so. Then again, if the show gets too philosophical or "talky," the natives get restless and come here to complain. That said, I'm with everyone who disliked this episode.

What a waste. There was a long, elaborate set up to address pressing issues, immigration and armed revolution and blowback. In the end we get a speech saying "war is bad." Have to have some guts.
