Maybe you skipped the part of his review where he mentions, quite rightly, the show is the equal to many of the "adult" sitcoms on air. I fight against my 8 yr old watching anything on Disney but I will sit and watch this show with him.

well there is a "thing" that propels the drama organically. It is "not being killed by zombies or other people." The protagonists who make choices in that environment drive the story and the drama. E.G. Rick made a choice that ultimately caused his wife's death.

Well, it seems he was miscast. They were looking for more of a tough/sensitive guy and picked a kid who seems to have some comic instincts, at least that's what I got from watching him on Talking Dead. Great for Singleton, one of his first high profile roles is on a high rated show, but he really got the shaft.

T-Dawg is replaced by a Tyreese-like character. So unless Tyreese -like is killed off there will be two reoccurring African American characters on the show.

Not every show has to be of the LOST, Scooby-Doo Mystery of the month variety. There is no bigger story, and I'm glad of it. Oh, during the first season I feared they were sniffing around some goofy conspiracy when they found the CDC lab. I'm so frackin glad they dropped that immediately.
