No spoilers for the books: There is no "resolution." It's a story of survivial. AFAWK the dead will always walk until there's a cure. So don't worry about that. That's kind of the problem with the zombie apocalypse as the setting for a serial; there can be no light at the end of the tunnel, really. You won't turn the

Actually I think spacelizards is spot on. There's little more complicated in the reaction to the piece on the other blog than "We don't like yellowface stuff but CLOUD ATLAS should be excused." and the usual attempts at snark. Did the person link to the piece to start a new discussion on that issue or simply to point

RE: diploma mills are everywhere. I have a nephew who was similarly situated to those kids in the documentary. He didn't manage to even finish the GED so his errant father purchased one of those degrees. It was way less than $300 and I don't recall any discussion of a "test." I think there just had to be a showing

It's conveniently brilliant hindsight. First, a lot of the piece (sorry) sounds like the episode of unSung that covered the group's rise and fall. Second, while Bizarre Ride was the best of the lot, Three Years was the equal of those other records listed. Just because it has faded in *popularity* doesn't mean it isn't

Yeah, I mean, as much as I love the show, I can't faint away breathlessly because they used a couple of pop songs in a montage. Come on guys, every moment can't be gold.

Oh you'll do it, my friend, you'll do it.

Sounds like he didn't really care for the finished brilliance that was Idiocracy. Wonder what his gripe was? Not enough money?
