I loved the movie despite the fact that some of it is flat-out silly (or maybe I loved it because of the absurdity), but my only real complaint was that they didn't take the concept to its logical conclusion—i.e., a bunch of dinosaurs terrorizing 20,000 theme park guests. It felt like they pulled their punches a

Great Job, Internet!

I generally liked 'The Martian,' but thought that it tried too hard to be funny in places. I'm all about deadpan humor, but a little goes a long way and it dragged the book down. The concept itself is cool and I'm all about any book that espouses the use of science to cause cool shit like living to happen, but it

Ouch. I had been looking forward to reading 'Ready Player One,' but now I'm just afraid.

Yes! I love 'Penny Dreadful' to a silly amount. It's funny, moving, creepy and surprising, and it's those things in almost every episode. Even when some sub-plots don't completely click with me, the show's vibe remains the same.

I had no idea, but I ventured a lucky guess based mostly on the fact that the clue was early in the category and was probably something obvious.

'Exile' probably is overrated, but it's the Stones album that I've listened to most. I love the shambling mess and the raggedness and even the filler. It's more or less part of my DNA at this point. So many road trips soundtracked by that album. I think 'Let it Bleed' probably works as the best synthesis of everything

I think reviews are why this film made twice as much as its studio was projecting this weekend, though. Everybody feared this would be a horrible movie that would be panned by all. Then they cruised over to Rotten Tomatoes, saw 71% percent and immediately bought tickets. The fact that the trailers looked dubious and

While driving to the theater, I was thinking, "Boy, it's going to be weird to ask for a ticket to 'Jurassic World,' I never thought this thing was going to be made."

You could tell Daniel was kicking himself after he missed that DD. His body language was awful for the rest of the game.

I thought that I liked the show, but then I missed the fifth or sixth episode. I kept telling myself "You have to watch that during the week," but I did not watch said episode during the week, at which point I realized that I did not care enough about the show to catch up and I officially quit.

I yearn for the day when my unpopular thoughts garner 40 upvotes.

Taking the giant bags of money that show up at your front door is a choice, too.

I enjoyed Younger Child's energy.

Occasionally you see Sundance stuff lambasted for said tropes and tics, but this particular film is drawing 86% from the critical jello blob on Rotten Tomatoes.

Yes. As somebody who loves the first one to a silly degree, I was going to watch this regardless of the reviews, but I had legit fears it might draw 40% on Rotten Tomatoes. This could have been a far, far, far worse movie.

Dinosaurs are always going to be popular and the movies make money. It's somewhat bizarre that there have been so few attempts to cash in on what should be an easy market to cash in on. I suppose short of time travel or cloning, it's difficult to put people and dinosaurs together, but still. People love monster movies.

I read 'Jaws' way, way too young.

There's that great "Holy shit" look on Grant's face when the T-Rex flips over the car. Like he almost can't believe what he's seeing.

Then again, for all we know, when the shit hits the fan the raptors will be doing their typical raptor stuff. We definitely see a few shots of aggressive raptor action in some of the trailers/commercials.
