Except Sue Hawk's came from a place of genuine whatever, whereas Reed's came from watching a bunch of Survivor, seeing other people give diatribes at Tribal and thinking, "God, there's nobody on this Final Three I can really lash out. I guess I'll just go with Missy."

Completely disagree. It was just a mean speech and it wasn't even genuine. Reed showed no signs whatsoever of hating Missy during the season outside of that one spat with Baylor. Was there even one on-camera comment where he remotely hinted that he loathed Missy? Even if you're thinking those things, no point

Jaclyn and Jon tried to play up the idea of working with Reed after the fact, but I think they were always going to stick with their alliance.

I dunno. There have been a lot of very articulate, interesting winners and all of these people have the confidence boost that comes with destroying a bunch of other people and making them give you a million dollars.

Damn. Great game by Natalie. Every move she made from the Alec vote on was brilliant. One of the best runs of individual strategic maneuvering we've seen on this show. They only showed Jaclyn and Natalie discussing a Missy vote. When they voted out Baylor instead, I was so, so pumped. Incredibly smart, because it not

I've never really thought about ranking trailers, but that Star Wars one was a slideshow. Just because a billion people clicked it doesn't actually make it good.

Yeah, I imagine it would be difficult to sign on for one of these roles knowing that you're inevitably going to be doing this for the next eight years or so. There are only so many two-hour long toy commercials that a human being can make.

I'm currently reading 'Nixonland' and immediately yelled, "WHO IS NIXON?" at the television when I saw the FJ clue. It was not to be, but I was happy I managed an educated guess, which plays in stark comparison to the previous two FJs, where I barely even managed to say words.

My response of 'The Wolfman' was not the correct response to Final Jeopardy. The show has not played kindly to my intellectual strengths this week.

'Good As I've Been to You' is a good album. And I don't even think there's a need to defend 'Christmas in the Heart.' It's an odd, one-off Christmas album by Bob Dylan. It's about as interesting as that kind of project can be. That's not to say that it's a legitimately good album, but anybody who considers that to be

Hannibal has had episodes that reach the mountaintop, but their Killer o' the Week format was incredibly limiting in Season 2, when it became clear that the story no longer needed such a crutch. Here's hoping they ditch that aspect entirely and the show can flourish on its formidable narrative wings.

I was abnormally off throughout the episode and ended in an annoyed mood, so much as Jeopardy! can annoy a human being. I felt like I knew a fair number of the correct responses, but the information was not surfacing from the depths of my mind in time. As a cherry on top of this awful failure sundae, I had no clue

It would be in competition for my favorite of the year and a definite top-five selection. I didn't expect to see it on here, as that would have required a groundswell of support from staff that just wasn't coming, but given that it has received many good reviews elsewhere, I did hope that it would pop up on a few

When I can just pluck the songs from my library into a playlist and don't actually have to acquire the album in order to compile the songs of the album, it probably shouldn't be making a year end list.

I love that every review of 'The Grey' basically starts out with, "This movie is described/viewed/marketed as Liam Neeson fighting wolves, but it's not actually about that." At this point, you can probably drop that open. We're all aware that 'The Grey' is not about the slaying of wolves.

They have no spines and at this point are just trying to find the majority vote.

Ha, I didn't even consider that, as I had just assumed that Baylor would go, but you are right.

It's tough, though, because if he doesn't press them on strategy at tribal, they're not going to volunteer to give anything more than incredibly generic, safe answers.

I like the general concept—take shots at your tribemates and let the paranoia run wild—but it can turn into a farce very quickly. I bet the best time to have this kind of challenge is right after the merge, when alliances are still cooling like the earth when it was formed from the void of space.

That's why it's better to get Jon/Jaclyn out ASAP. They need time to cool. Whereas if they get voted out with a few days left, you could certainly be right that the ending turns into a clusterfuck.
