The thinkpiece machine is revving up for a nuclear Monday, regardless of who wins.

The people posting comments on Twitter or Facebook or whatever social media site you choose represent a tiny, tiny portion of his fans, and the negative or racially-based comments that you're citing represent an even smaller cross-section.

What a generous review, relatively speaking. Do reviewers just get bored in the mid-January to March wasteland?

I'm just impressed/disturbed that you've read multiple reviews of 'I, Frankenstein.'

All of the upvotes.

I vote that we just pretend that that movie film is not being released. There's no reason to acknowledge its existence. Anyway, by the time next Halloween rolls around, AV Club will have somebody doing the whole 24-hours of horror deal and they'll inexplicably pick 'I, Frankenstein' as one of the films, like that

It's one of those films where I love the first half of the movie and force myself to accept that the second half isn't up to the task. That's partially a problem with Bram Stoker's original story. It's always so, so much more interesting and engaging before Dracula comes to England, which is weird, because most of

Am I supposed to be upset about the Michael Bay Ninja Turtle movie? I can't remember what the socially acceptable response is. I don't really feel like caring one way or another, but if I'm supposed to care, I understand. Fuck this movie, except maybe whatever.

Every time I listen to 'Pure Heroine,' I expect the luster to have worn off, but it has not. Such an enjoyable album and it has a ton of replay value.

Haha, yeah, "drink." I'm sure that's what you'll be doing in Denver.

Every time I hear "End of the World," I roll my eyes. You may downvote as you see fit, but I don't like that song, and no amount of Internet voting will change my opinion. I don't really have a reason to dislike it, though. I just do. Mysteries of life.

Even though she can't sing, she has a number of songs that are catchy and melodic. I don't hate Katy Perry. I don't take her seriously, but at least I don't hate her. Hate requires so much negative energy. It's much, much easier to occasionally be OK with stuff that could cause hatred.

That's the only explanation that really makes sense.

O'Russell's movies are generally so slick that I rarely come away from them thinking about much. That was extremely problematic for a movie like 'Silver Linings Playbook' (which was just laughable), but 'American Hustle,' in its big overblown ego swill, works perfectly with his style. Perfect match of

"Based on a True Story" is about as broad of a statement as you can make. As viewers, it probably isn't fair for us to expect 100% accuracy. These aren't documentaries. 'Argo' is basically an escape thriller and on that level it works great.

EDIT: I am deleting my shitty Woody Allen joke.

The world is a weird place and I would like nothing more than to pretend that it doesn't exist.

I would like to dovetail off of your last parenthetical: 'Titanic' isn't terrible. The second half is big scale disaster movie that absolutely works, and the first half, while nothing more than period melodrama set on doomed boat, is enjoyably melodramatic if you don't go out of your way to try to hate it. It's not
