a knock knock joke would have been better

Parachute, poorly faked death.

It’s gonna cost a fortune to remove that red paint. Who the hell wants a non-stainless Delorean?

If only somebody would just make a car that already had an LS in it.

Weird seeing people talk about wheel bearings and CV joints. Our 2005 Legacy had those problems and I thought it was odd. I guess it was a common problem for that vintage.

Did yours have the shitty 4-speed auto? Possibly the worst transmission I’ve ever encountered, including the 3 speed auto in my 1972 Impala.

We had a 2005 Legacy sedan that was a piece of shit. It had no accidents on record and low miles. It was still full of mechanical and electrical issues. We spent piles of money at a local mechanic and then eventually at TWO dealer service centers after the local mechanic had to give up trying to fix things.

Ditto.

Fucking head gaskets. Screw Subaru.

My buddies newer 2.5 Subaru likes to have some part of the variable inlet tract fail from time to time......

Subaru owners are a cultish bunch, especially Outback owners.

Oh wow - I had a 2005 Outback that, as far as I can tell, looked identical to yours.
It was awful. Constant little problems - brakes, misfires, CV joints, valve cover gasket leaks, head gasket failure, rear suspension failure, front passenger wheel bearing failure... the list could go on.
Sold it with only 50k miles...

The ugly ones am crazy toos

i came here thinking about my wifes 2006 subaru outback wagon....with a reconstruct title, but i’m not rid of it quite yet.. It eats wheel bearings (and headlights weirdly enough), lost cruise control and stuck in limp mode (think this is symptom of the reconstruct, ECU of engine doesnt like the car its in or vise

2011 Subaru Outback-horrible CVT trans, burned oil, didn’t even have an aux audio port for the radio. I will never hate a car more, the day Carmax gave me $8,000, I bought a ‘94 F150 for $2,000 and have never been happier.

My A4. Fun to drive in all conditions but fuck VAG and their unreliable systems

This’n. I’m sure I don’t need to explain why. This is the car I mentioned in the other thread that I owned for four years and the CEL was on the entire time. Given the myriad other mechanical issues it gave me I never got around to replacing the Bank 1 Cat that was throwing the light, just disconnected the battery

I’m always amazed to hear stories like this. I’ve never bought a new car. I’ve never bought a German car. In fact the only cars I’ve ever bought were used, American or Japanese brands and usually over the 100K mileage mark.. and the highest repair bill I’ve ever had was $900 to replace the air suspension on my 18

That is quite a story.
