Snuze: Needs another Swede

The way I see it, a Jeep is a Jeep, the wrangler is all about being spartan and ultra-capable off-road, especially in trail and crawling type situations. Try as I might, I cant think of anything in or outside the box to be the Wrangler without basically ending up as a clone.

He also mentioned Ford Motor Company by name, though he actually works for RGBSI. So he's essentially slandering the customer. Which is pretty much the worst thing you can do, on top of being a dick.

Wow. I had no idea the BMW diesels were that powerful.

Doug, I'm confused. What exactly are you railing against here? You pointed out 1960's concepts were over the top and fabulous and contained technology that might be available 7 years in the future (this included fantastic and now pedestrian technologies such as gas turbines and nuclear reactors). How is that

Color me impressed - I had a 2001 Ram with the H.O. engine that made 245HP and 505 ft-lbs. The new V8 is up about 50 each HP and TQ, and down almost a full liter, and doing it cleaner and (likely) on less fuel.

I wonder how people get titles, registrations, insurance, and plates for these illegal Skylines. Not that the US Navy's Pass & ID section is the most scrupulous authority on vehicle registration, but they are pretty darn thorough in checking out your car and paperwork in order to get access to the bases, so I'd be

To start, bringing a non-conforming car into compliance with U.S. rules and regulations requires crash testing the car in order to prove that it meets U.S. safety standards. That means you can't simply buy one example of the car you want to import: you have to buy several. And as you can probably guess, all will be

In your search did you come across and exemptions/restrictions for military personnel? There was someone working at the same ASD that I was at who had an R32. ASD was a few hundred people so I never did figure out who owned it or get to ask him/her how they got it here. My assumption was they purchased it while

Thanks for the history lesson. I don't really know very much about the B-Body platform other than I enjoyed driving my dad's Impala. The wealth of knowledge on here always astounds me.

I had no idea - I've almost completely stopped caring about the Toyobaru since they aren't doing anything with the platform. Is the TRD like the STi version that was coming, where it's just suspension and body mods?

Exactly, I think its a great car, it's just too expensive and not marketed well enough.

That's awesome, I like the way the Evora looks from the outside, have no experience inside one though. I've looked in them though and they still *appear* to be more Spartan compared to a Porsche Cayman or the like. I think the whole issue is just Lotus is perceived as a weird, niche, enthusiast brand and I'm not

I'll admit that I'm less familiar with the Evora than the Elise/Exige since I'd spoken with my moms boss about his on numerous occasions. I also don't hate on Lotus or the Evora, I think the Evora is a nice looking car and would love to drive one sometime. It still looks a bit Spartan/racecar compared to the more

You are right in that the Impala SS was a hop-up of the 9C1 car, a platform which had already paid for itself in spades. But GM handed the large RWD car market to Ford and the Panther when it stopped making the 9C1 chassis and had no successor. So if GM is serious about getting back into a large RWD platform car,

Here's my take on things:

That's a bunch of bullshit that your boss gave your sale away. But definitely an epic way to quit.

Sounds like dealership policy to me. I'm sure dealers doesn't want all the employees taking turns joy-riding in the 'Vettes, but I guess some are more strict than others. I bought my Cobalt and Cruze from the same salesman at the same dealer and later I ended up working with his ex-wife; the subject of cars came up

I have the same question and would probably cross shop these 2 vehicles if I was in the market right now.

The want is strong with this one.

Do they do that over in Europe though? I would think here in the US they are doing it out of necessity more than desire. They also just brought out the 4C so I think it's also very early to say if it's working or not.
