It wasn't the jury that failed. It was the prosecution. Prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. No matter how someone feels they have to weigh in on the facts presented in the trial and nothing more.
Having grown up in a hunting family I can say that one to two deer can provide enough meat for a full winter season. Hunting is a good way to duck the ever rising cost of meat. Especially if you have more than yourself to feed.
