That was the scene that made me really appreciate her contribution to the show.

I liked this episode, Frank didn't annoy me as much as he usually does. Good to
see Fiona slipping into the groove of running her business. Debbie's treatment
of Sierra disgusts me. To see Debbie transition from being that long suffering
but sweet girl, into such a cold hearted and selfish person is distressing.

Right, lasers and washing machines are essentally the same thing.

Materially better off, no, but family isn't about material comfort. They are all better off for having each other in their lives.

She asked for a raise when she was still doing the job full time. She's still managing the restaurant, but has taken on the additional burden of getting her own business in shape.

You think the "intelligent thing" would have been for Fiona to just give her siblings away??? I don't even know how to respond to that comment.

"You can see Fiona has a good heart and the best intentions." - Agree.

I know Fiona has done some shady stuff in regards to, the dinner, Etta and money, but I believe she will pay both back. I know theft is theft, but I'm still rooting for her to succeed. Seeing the community come to her rescue was really touching, sure they were induced to do it, but it was still touching.

The GED is nothing compared to caring for a large family on your own since you were a preteen.

Everyone on the show would be either dead, in prison, or state care if not for Fiona. Fiona is not the "least intelligent" of the Gallagher siblings.

If she puts the money back, she doesn't get caught, so the police don't get involved. Let's not get to caught up in "legalities" and consequences when it comes to Shameless. It wasn't that long ago that; Mickey, Ian and Lip shot up a store front with automatic weapons and nothing came of it.

Never happened.

If it wasn't for Fiona, that "senile old women" would be in some godforsaken state nursing home as opposed to her home.

For a show that's been on the air for 7 years, to still be one of the highest rated shows (if not the highest rated show) on the network and pulling these number up against TWD and Westworld is phenomenal.

This could be the last season story wise, but the ratings are still very strong. Showtime needs to keep a strong performer like this around, they are taking a HUGE gamble with the Twin Peaks show, which could end up being another Roadies.

She didn't rip Etta off at all. The deal was Etta could sell the lease for $100 000 to the people from outside the neighborhood, but she would have to MOVE OUT. Or she could sell to Fiona for $80 000, but could continue living in the apartment above the laundromat. Etta got everything she wanted, actually she got more

I'm really delighted with how this season is unfolding. I'm glad Fiona taped the
check back together and bought the laundromat, but concerned that she "borrowed" the $1700. My guess is she puts the money back in the next episode and in doing so, turns her back on "the Gallagher way of doing things." Turning the

If the business fails, she can sell the lease for $100 000 and make a $20 000 profit.

Nope, just the business not the building.

Buying a failing business in the hopes of turning it around, using your family's home as collateral against the loan is "an easy buck?"
