Fiona turned 30 at the cup company???
I do get what you're saying, it could be hidden for awhile I guess. But even the ankles, if you're sleeping in the same bed, chances are at some point your going to notice blood on the sheets or catch a glimpse of some really nasty bruises on their body. I see my girlfriends ankles all the time, I don't pay a lot of…
Or getting a stable job, I was really into the whole her being a really good salesperson, when she worked at the cup company. I know that the shows fans would react with absolute glee, at a story line where Fiona actually succeded at something career wise.
I was wondering about the smoking scenario, but hidding injecting it would be really hard from someone you live with and have sex with. The familiarity they would have with each others bodies would make it really tough, but like you said addicts are sneaky.
Is it believable that Fiona could, work with Sean, live with that Sean, share a bed with Sean, and be physically intimate with Sean and not see the “physical signs” of him being an active heroin addict? She saw his old “track marks” a while back, how could he hide the new ones. Am I missing something, was he using in…
The show runner, Nancy Pimental, said over at another trade website, that the writers are looking at having Fiona be single for awhile in Season 7. I know Emmy Rossum has been lobbying for this for years. Hope this happens.
I'm really tired of that as well, it's becoming almost sadistic on the part of the writers.
"the show doesn't seem to care about its own chronology"
- Yup, lazy writing and producing.
A 29 year old can't play a 25 year old?
Definitely.
Mulroney is 52, Rossum is 29, but that doesn't mean their characters are those ages. I think Rossum is playing Fiona as mid twenties and Mulroney is playing Sean as mid to late (ish) forties.
I love Macy as an actor, but every scene with Frank is a waste.
I was under the impression that Showtimes S.O.P. was to renew and simultaneously announce that this was the last year of a given show, so the writers could wrap the show up. If I'm mistaken, my bad.
Not trying to put words in your mouth, your comment was just strange or at least written strange and I pointed that out.
In Illinois, adultery is grounds for divorce, but can't be taken into consideration when it comes to alimony. But with their marriage lasting such a short period of time, she's getting very little, which I suspect Fiona is fine with.
"…laws regarding a cheating spouse?" - I think that's more of a Saudi Arabia thing.
They've been renewed for a 7th Season and since Showtime didn't announce it was the last, I suspect they'll get at least an 8th Season. The ratings are still so strong, they could end up like It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and just keep going and going.
She's had a romantic partner is every single season, the only one I can think off who went multiple seasons was Jimmy/Steve and the writers ruined that wonderful relationship by turning him into a creep in Season 5.
Emmy Rossum has given interviews where she has said she would LOVE for Fiona to be single for awhile, and in the DVD commentary for last season, she has a bit of a "moment" with the female show runner about just this issue.
If he overdoses that's ok, but NOT die, that would be awful and a really lousy thing to do to his character and to Fiona. It would be a cruel thing to do to Fiona actually. A health scare would be a convenient way for the wedding to be called off.
