Moderately tall but with a long torso, My wife is short though and she never had complaints about it. Maybe the wing is in the way on a Z06? I had a standard C7 so, dunno. I was always amazed at how good the view out the back was, even with the trunk full.

The “blind spot” issue is one of adjusting your mirrors. Also,

yep. I think what they said is “wait for the 4 cyl” for your swaps”. I think at this point, the type of people who are swapping these, aren’t dissuaded by having to buy a slightly more expensive car to start with though.

The C7 was all new, it wasn’t terrible. I doubt it punches above it’s price point, but I think it’s probably adequate.

Can’t speak for the C8, but the C7 offered a full view out the back, even when the trunk was full. Zero issues with rearward visibility in that car.

We’ve moved on to slip-on sketchers. “Relaxed fit”

Short leg club checkin in. I am about 6', but have the legs of someone much shorter, I probably wear a 29" inseam if we are being honest, but buy 30" cuz that’s what usually available.

I have a crazy tall sitting height tho.

120% battery charge before fire.

You can debate the cut-off point but most definitions put 1978 into Gen X. You could make your same argument about any gap in age between generations:

The oldest boomers are in there mid 70s and the youngest are in their late 50s. you could easily say that young boomers have more in common with older Gen Xers but one

OR just be comfortable with your body hair, boom, I just saved you $40.

1. Clearly BMW, with those specs, it’s an exact match for the 2.0 in the BMW z4.

My buddy comes from low torque high revving wonders (S2000), he knows about keeping RPMs up, the first blow up was at the track, he definitely wasn’t lugging it. He goes fast everywhere, trust me, if being hard on the engine was a recipe for longevity, his would have lasted forever.

Yeah, I kinda figured that’s what you meant, it still a low hp/low weight car, sure it has a decent 0-60 but when you get outside of that oft quoted statistic, I guarantee that it falls flat against something with a bit more weight and a LOT more horsepower and torque.

They are also awful to live with, a friend of

Not my car, but I think my buddy has a pretty good relationship with the service rep at the local dealership. I mean, at that low of mileage, it’s hard to deny his claim. Especially when the 2nd one popped at low RPM just driving around town. Last I heard he got a lawyer and Ford was buying his car back under Lemon

Yes, C7s had a bout of early engine failures, it’s true but the myriad of different things wrong with his car exceed a single engine replacement. Ford pushed the limit with that car and sometimes that comes back to bite you in the ass.

An Exige isn’t inherently much faster than an Elise (again outside the confines of a race track). It’s still powered by a 2zz, which is a zippy engine but by no means a “weapon” in the sense of having massive acceleration potential.

Well stop it, let’s make a super secret plan to buy them all up ourselves, new friend.

Sorry to break it to you, but they are just gonna unsnap all your hard work in the sequel.

Just for me personally, as the haver of one small child, with another on the way, the CTS-V (especially the unobtanium manual wagon) is on my short list of must have cars for dads.

But I respect his wish to experience a real sports car too, I got my 3 years of owning a C7 in before my son was born and it was truly

+1 although that might be overkill. A regular C7 or a grandsport would be plenty sufficient.

It’s not more seats than he needs, it’s more seats than he wants (he has 3 small kids) but it is NOT a sports car. It’s a huge and heavy executive sedan. It’s great at what it does but it is not a sports car by any definition.
