I do remember reading that it had a bit less space than the C6 which means the C6 must have been amazing. I looked a C5z06 before I got the C7 and I was amazed how much room it had in the trunk considering it was a fixed roof coupe (not a hatch like most C5s)

Personally I think the C7 would be the perfect base for a new El Camino!

The trunk closed, if that is what you are asking. Not big on bungee-ing it lets a lot of gas fumes into the car because of the backdraft. I will do it, but not for very long. The best load we took had a long box from ikea between my wife and I in the front seats. I had to ask her if there was traffic on her side!

Still think its fake, using a static fiat imposed over something else. Why would you Photoshop out the water if you are implying that the car can go off road? Most off road ads show the car covered in dirt, adding to its credibility. I am with the ex-con on this one, these photos are all kinds of ridiculousness.

Okay, I have to step in here. The truth is, the Corvette burns out so smooth and quietly you don't always know exactly how much your tires are spinning. :)

OMG SO MUCH YES, OBLIGATORY C7 HATCH FILLED PHOTOS:

nobody said lasting forever was prerequisite, I see plenty of 00/01 to think it's probably not as big a deal as you make it out to be. You are overthinking this one.

I think he meant more from a "formulaic" standpoint so I agree that the NA MIATA got it right. Nobody is going to remember the SNC issues 30 years from now they are just going to remember what a hit it was. Almost every car has some teething issues.

I am almost positive the car was photo-shopped into these pictures which makes the whole thing even more funny. the lighting is just too dim to make the car shine like that, there is no water or anything on the car, and the wheels do not appear to be in motion. The car looks more like a rendering from a car

It also looks photoshopped as hell. Look at how glossy it looks compared to those lighting conditions. The wheels don't appear to be in motion despite the stream being splashed everywhere.

This is going to sound pretty rainbow-y but bear with me: This car seems fundamental to your car guy personality. Most guys don't own old cars BECAUSE they are money pits but you enjoy it. That isn't something you can teach, not everyone like to work on their car, I enjoy it, but definitely not to the degree you do.

80% of the performance for 75% of the price. Re-validated.

To understand this car, you have to go back to the idea behind the original 2002 and other New Class sedans and coupes: they were made to drive like sports cars while offering levels of practicality that sports cars couldn't. A sedan for sporting. A sport sedan, if you will! BMW certainly wasn't the first to do that,

Damn Aussies and their fun drive-trains. Typically I see a Ford Sedan and figure FF because that's all we get anymore. Still holds mostly true for non-sports cars that having a big lump of metal over the front wheels results in a front heavy car, you would think a FL operator would know that, could be his first rodeo

I think the forklift driver clearly doesn't know that the weight balance of an FF car is significantly forward. Good thing he noticed before he started driving around with it. I would say probably "no harm done". It couldn't be worse than what a tow driver would do to a car he couldn't get in to.

Lemmie guess, MB will market it as a "5-door coupe". Le sigh, this thing is borderline accord cross-tour ugly if we are honest. No sadness' given that we wont get it.

Also I know we like superlatives here but aren't the UK Mitsubishi Evos the most powerful production 4 cyl in the world with 400-440hp? I guess they are

Now that we know the wealthy Chinese elite are having secret supercar parties in SoCal, we have a new target of envy. Time to move on DeMuro, how is the car hunt going anyway?

If you have to ask... and yes, it takes premium you cheapskate

Well considering Audi owns lambo its really an Audi V10...wait that's not helping your reliability concerns is it?

I vote for fake, unless those cars are all doing 150mph+ he isn't passing them nearly fast enough to be going 217mph. They would literally look like they were standing still if they were only going 75-90mph...
