For some reason I find that hilarious lol

I'd be curious to know what Sakaguchi thinks of FFXIII and the failure-turned-amazing-MMO FFXIV. Sakaguchi, come baaaack.

Yeah, I'm in a few linkshells on Durandal server. If you ever come back, look me up, send me a /tell, I'm on pretty often. Name is Garlen Anthon, I'm always willing to help.

haha.. did you play the original version when it came out? Man it was soo bad... This new dev team has really proved themselves in my eyes, the recent content they have implemented has been so much fun. Can't wait to play it all when the engine itself actually is running smoothly with no lag or slowdown.

yeah, xiv has a lot of bad press, but this remake seems to be giving it a lot of good press too. You never know. Seems like lots of people are looking forward to it and many were always waiting for the ps3 version as well.

did you even read the entire article..

Can't wait for this! That group meteor attack around 8:40 was awesome.

I played 11 and play 14 (and the relaunch looks amazing), and I definitely consider them part of the main line (and, well, they are).

The PS3 beta will be later this year, with the full release likely around January.

This! I wish more people realized that even today's current version is leaps and bounds better than it was at launch. And the new dev team has done an amazing job at the new content. The whole storyline and content they implemented surrounding Dalamud is downright epic.

Why won't you ever be able to play?

What he said. This won't go F2P for a long, long time, if ever.

I see your point, we've been tricked before (I've bought the collector's edition). Having said that, I actually stuck with the game and still play, and the new team definitely know how to make exciting gameplay, like the dungeons, battles, and battle revisions. Can't wait to see it all come together in 2.0

I love how there seems to be equipment set changes! I think I see a dropdown menu to quickly switch to a different set of armor. Love this!

That's because 2.0 is not out yet. The new world/map differences will be in the new version, not in the current version. The new version (coming later this year) will be a new client.

I know what you mean, it's easy to ignore the reworking because of the crap state of the launch version, but it really seems like they are genuinely trying here, and the effort shows.

You don't need to re-buy anything, current owners get the new version for free.

Amazon has it for 39.99, not sure if that will be the final price.

I'm curious, having thought that ME2 was "damn good", why haven't you gone on to 3 yet?

Gameplay presentation and demo will be at GamesCom next week. As the article states, this is merely another 'teaser' trailer.
