I absolutely loved XI, so uhh, yeah. Looking forward to the relaunch.

Others here have already commented on this, but FFXIV 2.0 gameplay demos and presentation will be at GamesCom next week. Kotaku doesn't really ever report all the info on this game..

gameplay trailers/footage will be released at GamesCom next week. And even the current version that exists today is massively improved on the release version.

Gameplay videos/demos will come at GamesCom next week.

Yeah, and even a new expansion for XI next year! Honestly didn't think there would be another one after all this time.

My god, NOBODY WANTS another sequel to XIII. Just move on to XV, for christ's sake.

Thanks, I'll check them out... aren't they coming out with an HD collection for that, or am I seeing things =/

Lol I thought the same thing, they could have made it a little more interesting to watch, but it was just so boring.

Oh man, this movie is going to blow. :( I had some hope for it, the first movie was alright (minus the church scenes at the end), but after watching this trailer, my expectations have been set to zero.

Does this take place in Japan, maybe Tokyo? For some reason the gorgeous city backdrop makes it all the more appealing.

Yeah, totally understand all of your issues, as most everyone pointed out those glaring flaws at launch. Thing is, those are exactly the things that are no longer there, or fixed. The fatigue xp penalty has been gone for a long time, the completely lifeless world has been redone for 2.0, the Grand Company questline

As far as I can tell, you mean not just the graphical engine replacement, but the foundations as in the ideas and intentions of the developers on the gameplay systems, battle systems, etc. These things are different from what they were at launch, the devs have completely different (and much better) ideas for the game

If you've been keeping up with the game at all (it's understandable that most haven't), then yes, it's really coming, beta in late september/october.

That's essentially what it is.

This is the first of more trailers being released in August.

When FFXI goes offline eventually, if they somehow reworked it into a single-player game, that would be amazing.

Your comment makes it obvious that you haven't been following the game at all (which is totally fine). PS3 version coming at the end of the year, for sure.

which is the whole reason for the overhaul, so uh, doubtful. Lots of people are looking forward to this.

Beta comes out in sept/oct.
