This article leaves out the fact that the vast majority of players are NON-Steam players on PC. Been playing since 1.0 and steam players account for a low percentage of players. So when you take that into account, the actual player numbers are surely enormous... not to even mention the ps4/ps5 population.

Same thing happening to my PS4 only recently. Also noticed that when I quit an app like YouTube, it takes like 8 seconds to finally quit and return to the main menu, where it used to be almost instant.
Easier way to do all this: stay on iOS9 (not me, loving iOS10)
