cheat: act dishonestly or unfairly in order to gain an advantage

Providing records is still part of the rules, so...still cheating, if only in administrative matters?

Also, that 90% number was based on early estimates of vaccine effectiveness in the 50-70% range. With 90-95% effectiveness, it’ll probably be somewhere around 70% vaccinated for herd immunity?

Huh? I just noted that they get compared to the U.S., because of the shared border, and the U.S. has a distinct edge in being the home of three of the four widely distributed vaccines. It’s not a fair fight.

Canada only looks bad because the U.S. is so far ahead. The U.S. is 4th in % vaccinated with at least one dose, Canada is 6th. UK is 3rd.

Maffei ranks seventh on the list of highest-paid CEOs of 2020, with his salary coming in at $47.12 million.

Eye color is controlled by at least 8 different genes. It’s a bad example of recessive-dominant traits.

Yeah, that’s probably the best reason to stick to peas and fruit flies. Less genetic material to worry about means fewer multiple allele traits.

I cuss for Airbus.

Nope. Nope nope nope. Not rooting for any animal with rabies, ever.

I was working at the kitchen table last summer and looked out the window to see what I initially thought was a medium-sized neighborhood dog walking along the edge of the woods, just behind the deck. Got a better look after it got past the deck and...bobcat.

Just reading the story, the testing may not even have been necessary. I don’t care how tasty the pet in the crate might have been, if a bobcat goes after an adult human, after being thrown like that...just go get the shot. It takes not having eaten for a while for bobcats to even go after children, attacking adults is

Bobcats could very well get treated differently. In general we’ve chased out too many predators, so keeping the things around somewhere that makes sense is a good thing.

They could just...tax income to pay for infrastructure? Gas taxes are regressive anyways and not particularly well correlated to use, when you consider things like how semis weigh 20 times as much as a large CUV but only consume about 4x the fuel.

one study measured a price disadvantage of only about $.05 to $.07 per gallon where the laws are in place

This. My wife’s from Jersey (Philly area,) I try to fill up the last stop in CT and then make it back to CT without getting gas again. Not often that successful, but it’s just a pain.

Back tire of a R4 (M/L) Stumpjumper (pretty sure that’s what’s in the picture) to head tube is 54.8". To eke out that extra 6.8 inches of length, you need to push the back tire 26" to the side. It’s a bit extreme as shown in the picture, but you’re not fitting more than a couple bikes in the back on one of these

I’m disappointed they put a Stumpjumper in there, and not something from Santa Cruz.

I went through everything I might want to haul, that can’t fit in our Pilot, but this could work for.

You can’t substitute tractive force for force in the A=F/M equation.
