The principal's wife was - maybe - not real right? That's what Booper suggested. Or he just meant she was an inhuman monster of a human being.

Well, technically, a slumlord provides cheap housing to people who need it, but there's a reason why that's a bad thing to be.
As demonstrated in the movie, she could leave any time she wanted to. Hawkeye just convinced her to want to.
This was exactly my thought. I am cautiously fine, but I do not think I can tolerate even 12-14 episodes of Dooper.
Is that really "the most" you can accuse them of? Why did they share those sentiments in any setting? Is it that hard not to make racist jokes about beating children with baseball bats?
I completely agree that it shouldn't affect their choice, but I'm still worried that it will because it doesn't seem to take much for them to decide to nix a woman-led superhero movie.
Given the no doubt numerous bright young people who would give up a kidney to go to Harvard, I don't see that tossing repulsive jerks in favor of someone on the waiting list is a bad call.
Yeesh. If we're counting the purple explosion, then Gamora "rescued" Quill at least twice in GG2.
Which three times? I can remember once (maybe twice if you count talking Drax down). And Gamora saved all of them at once, and Drax and Nebula individually in the second movie.
Come now. She's only the second biggest draw. Why would anyone trust such a character with her own movie?
Gamora is a damsel? She's an emotionally unavailable warrior lady. That's the opposite of a damsel.
I'm worried that Ghost in the Shell hurt it's chances of being made. Not that it should, but it's like they are waiting for any excuse not to make it.
Why would that be preferrable to actively preparing for population shifts and creating more energy efficient systems through amazing engineering?
DEFENESTRATES!
What exactly do you think "adaptation" is? Because "doing exactly what we've always done," seems like a weird definition.
Right - so why bother to have her leave the sword up there at all?
Yeah, that was odd. I expected her leaving the sword to lead to something and it didn't. The only thing I can think of is they wanted to remind the audience of the whole godkiller-is-the-sword idea. But it was weird.
Oh those 18th century English people were really into random capitalization. Maybe the plaque is just old-fashioned.
I'm not sure what you mean by "subject matter." The notion that we can solve racism by ignoring it makes no sense to me.
Notice the tendency to minimize racism when it's part of your own culture? That's what being "PC" is actually about - being aware of your own cultural blindspots.
