Kerfuffle.

It's why I'm not all that fond of strictly sticking to "it's for kids" standards. You could read nothing but books intended for adults and have it be nothing but facile pablum. The Hunger Games (for example) at least has interesting things to say about oppression and the complexities of "justice."

Would they? I mean my friend got knocked over by bicyclist and the police went after the guy even though he didn't maim her. And the police being dismissive doesn't really have any bearing on your original point.

Except a "shoving match" implies that both parties were participating. In this case, one perpetrator grabbed the victim by the neck and knocked him down. If some random person on the street grabbed me by the neck, knocked me down and broke my glasses, you bet I'd be going to the police to report "the assault."

There's no injury requirement for simple assault. What are you talking about?

What? So you're saying that he wasn't grabbed and knocked over? He and all the eyewitnesses are lying? Or do you mean that an "assault and battery" would be more accurate?

My hobby is Twitter malapropisms and bad spelling. It's been a bumper year for me.

Yeah. It's crazy how victims of assault consider themselves part of the story about the assault. Who do they think they are?

The difference for me is that policy, even evil and stupid policy, is the job of a representative government. Assaulting the press for questioning you is dictator tactics.

I'm just so relieved he knows about Gaddafi even if his spelling leaves much to be desired.

What if they're written for dumb adults? I'd prefer Harry Potter to that.

I wonder if it will be similar to Lapis and Peridot. Where they aren't "regulars" but we check in on them a lot.

Sure. Except the studios only pocket like 60% of overseas gross. I think this movie is definitely going to be profitable but it's not as big a number as it sounds.

78 isn't much when you need like 450 to break even. The production budget for this thing was $230 million.

Do states with state-run media really want a population that is critical of media?

I agree in every way. Even when she was mean (like spilling the coffee in the pilot) it was really because indulging and tolerating her meanness was one of the few ways her parents showed they cared about her at all. And as soon as she meets someone with a smidge of decency and kindness, she's ready to turn herself

Well it could but it doesn't seem likely. It explicitely says that he's staying with the other renegade gems and they feel kinship with him.

Yeah that's true. Audrey could be childish and petty but her cruelty seemed like the kind you outgrow. And her instincts were always kind. She's my favorite. Maybe I just want her back again in any form.

I just remember it being surprisingly dour for a movie about gangsters disguised as nuns. But it did have a few good jokes. Nowhere near as fun as it should have been though given the cast.
