Nuns on the Run was super disappointing. Surprisingly unfunny. Though I do remember that, "God is like a shamrock. Small, green, and split three ways."

Rose Quartz accepting the blame seems so odd. My thought was that she didn't shatter PD but she conspired with the HW gen who did. Like YD promised to give the earth a respite for a while if Rose allowed her to pin the murder on her. So Rose still felt bad about it but didn't do the shattering herself.

Yeah I just think it was an awkward cut then. If you have a line about drinking and then immediately cut to a bar, it's kind of sloppy to have the two be unconnected.

I'm wondering if Audrey is the woman they were talking about at the end of 4. That or if she's the mysterious billionaire funding the glass box.

Don't know if this was asked already … will there be an Emerald too? To match the Invitation to Love sisters? Were they twins? I can't remember.

There's a surprising number of crossovers between the Descendants and TP: Return. Robert Forster, Matthew Lillard, and almost Michael Ontkean (apparently).

Someone needs to go to the Tikki Room. Air conditioned, music, hilarious…

I really hope we're not going to have 18 episodes of Cooper returning to Twin Peaks. That sounds taxing.

I know there are scientists studying crow vocalizations.

The world is constantly changing - so there are always ways to look at what god-like abilities mean within a changing culture.

I question the "scientific advancement require goodness" theory. I don't think the Italian rennaissance city states or 20th century rocket scientists were particularly known for their goodness.

It was a gross violation of privacy regardless of publishing and certainly taken maliciously. Taking the picture and posting to social
media wasn't a "misclick". And yes probably will happen again because people are horrible.

Where have you gone Joe DiMaggio?

They aired four of them on streaming. Two of them air tomorrow "live" and one from then on. So 14 more weeks. Or 14 and a few days?

Not that I know of. Much was made about how this was a full "movie" with the episodes being split up after filming so I don't think it will be broken into two seasons.

We've had decades of all sorts of superhero characters. I'm not sure I get your point. That consistency of character is tedious?

I guess it depends on if your tastes run to benevolent despots or grey eminences.

18 episodes and four are out. So… 14 weeks?

Good point - I suppose, as someone else said, it's a matter of genre convention. It doesn't bother me much. I mean, I'm not fussing over the fact that Batman would have a comically huge number of healed fractures - hopefully Wayne is careful when getting his annual phyhsical.

True, but I'm not sure why that would be intrinsically uninteresting. The capacity for clear-eyed compassion - to see the ugliness and still have mercy, is itself interesting to me. Superman isn't an idiot, blindly thinking that everyone is awesome, he's an intelligent person who knows just how bad humanity can be
