Well he clearly had the ability to end the Depression. Entering WWII ended it quite handily.

You seem to be ignoring the fact that he actually delivered "better days"… Results matter.
Wasn't that exactly what the Electoral College is though? A deliberate restriction of democracy? Didn't you take civics? Or US history?
FDR's New Deal created modern America. He brought us kicking and screaming into WWII. I'd be more upset by his "xenophobia" if anyone can suggest an alternative president who would have done better or differently. Was there such a person/candidate?
I think people look at the surface of the movie (white, wealthy, buttoned-up protagonists suffering) and make a lot of assumptions.
Just "gazing" at someone has very little to do with the concept of "the male gaze" in media.
Because culture dictates how we act more than reason, logic, or justice. It's the most powerful force governing human behavior. It can cause harm so it needs to be examined from time to time.
Sexual attraction is inherent. One has only to look at the vast disparities on what was considered the "norm" of sexual attractiveness to see that what IS attractive is highly culturally determined.
Putting aside everything else, what is "sexually attractive" is created by your culture - your art, your media. So how "sexiness" is defined by the media matters because it affects and even dictates human behavior.
I am single in my 30s and I understand that fear. I think there are clearly people who are attracted to people in their own age range/generation. Maybe because of commonalities of experience? Years ago, my grandparents had a friend who was dating a woman who was my age. I remember my grandfather wondering, "What do…
I think when any standard becomes the "norm" it needs to be examined. If 75% of media portrayals of women are catering to what "most" men prefer, it influences and effects culture.
And make Morgan look worse and use his fame to raise the profile of an issue he likes. Fame is power, why shouldn't he use it for a cause he believes in?
You've said a lot of words but precious little that shows you understand the argument or the data or the positions. Plus, why would people discuss all that in every comment they make? Maybe they've thoroughly considered the matter and concluded that Morgan is an idiot.
People who choose not to marry don't have the right to marry? That doesn't make sense.
How would "simply telling him he was wrong" he different than what he did?
Given that people were outraged by the right-wing press saying nasty things about Obama's daughters, I don't think we should do away with the "leave the President's minor children alone" rule.
A viewpoint isn't really a "fact," though. Saying, "The inauguration was well-attended" could be a viewpoint. Saying, "the inauguration is the most well-attended inauguration in history" is a transparent lie.
Handler actually got better as a children's writer when he began trusting his audience more. The first four books read like a fun writer deliberately writing for "children," whereas the later ones read like good children's literature. So he began changing up the themes and playing with the formula.
I think it depends on who you hang out with. I recently had a conversation with a friend who didn't realize that the Force Awakens was a thing that exists.
What has he done?
