I think once everyone gave him a pass for going after John McCain’s war record - Trump knew he was in. If going after the old, white, Republican, certified war hero doesn’t sink you nothing will. As someone from the NY area (of non-Italian background) - I’m surprised that the “envelope bird cage” was even mentioned? I’ve never been to a tri-state area wedding that didn’t have one. Where else do guests put their envelopes?
